We’re delighted to introduce our three future Holmes Mackillop Trainee solicitors: Paul Campbell, Paula Phinn and Liam Reilly, who are already part of the Holmes Mackillop Team. All are now in their Diploma years but fit in a day a week working with us in the run up to their traineeships starting in 2024.

While a student, Paula worked in our Giffnock office and Paul initially came to Holmes Mackillop for summer work experience. Paula is now assisting our Litigation Team in our Glasgow office while Paul has been recruited by our Private Client Team on his days here. Liam has joined our Corporate Team where the first seat of his traineeship will be.

Supporting students and graduates is essential for the future and we are delighted to have recruited Lauren Butler, a recent law graduate of Edinburgh and Glasgow Caledonian Universities. Lauren joined us having previously worked in a law firm handling Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Wills and is now working in our Property Team learning all about the art of conveyancing from her experienced colleagues.

Holmes Mackillop are proud to support students in offering work experience, including as part of the new LLB module. Third Year law students Aimi Reid and Calum Robertson are currently working in our Johnstone Office while Olivia McCue is completing her module in our Glasgow Office as part of her LLB degree at Strathclyde University and will be staying on to continue working with us. From preparing productions for court hearings and attending court to writing a blog for our web site, Olivia has had hands on experience in many of our practice areas giving her great insight into how a law firm works.
